They built our communities. Raised our families. Fought our wars. Now, too many are being left behind. I’m running to make sure Ventura County leads the way in protecting, respecting, and supporting our seniors with real action, not empty promises.
Standing Up for Our Seniors
Too many seniors in Ventura County are struggling to age with dignity. Rising rents, a lack of affordable assisted living options, and increasing financial scams are threatening their security and independence. Seniors are being forced to choose between housing and healthcare, or even leave the communities they helped build. That’s unacceptable.
Why This Fight Matters
This is more than just a housing issue—it’s about respect, stability, and the kind of community we want to be. Our seniors worked hard, raised families, and helped build Ventura County. Now, far too many are being left behind.
- No senior should have to choose between paying for medicine or keeping the lights on.
- No one should feel isolated or unsupported as they age.
- And no one should fall victim to financial scams that rob them of the security they’ve earned.
When we support our seniors, we’re honoring their legacy and building a community where every generation can thrive.
My Plan of Action in Congress
If elected, I’ll fight to ensure Ventura County becomes a place where our seniors are safe, respected, and supported:
Boost Local Resources: I’ll work to secure funding for senior centers, nutrition programs, transportation services, and health outreach—so our seniors have what they need right here in the community.
Expand Affordable Senior Housing: I’ll advocate for increased federal funding to build and preserve affordable housing and assisted living options tailored to our aging population.
Protect Against Scams and Financial Abuse: I’ll push for stronger partnerships between law enforcement, nonprofits, and tech platforms to educate seniors and crack down on scammers.
Support Aging in Place: I’ll back federal programs that help seniors stay in their homes longer—through home modification grants, caregiver support, and expanded access to home-based services.
