Border security should never be a partisan debate. It’s about protecting our communities, stopping deadly drugs from reaching our streets, dismantling human trafficking networks, and keeping violent criminals out of our country.
Unfortunately, Washington has spent more time fighting each other than fixing the problem, leaving our borders overwhelmed and families vulnerable.
Why It Matters
This is a public safety crisis, not a political one.
- Fentanyl and other synthetic drugs are killing thousands of Americans every year.
- Human traffickers are exploiting weak enforcement to target women, children, and families.
- Criminals with violent records are slipping into the U.S. while our border agents are stretched thin.
Every parent, regardless of party, wants their kids safe from drugs. Every community deserves protection from gangs and traffickers. This isn’t about left or right, it’s about doing what’s right.
My Plan of Action in Congress
I’ll work across the aisle to deliver real border solutions that reflect both our values and our need for safety:
- Target Drug Smuggling with Precision
Invest in advanced detection technology and intelligence-sharing to stop fentanyl and other deadly drugs at the border and ports of entry. - Dismantle Human Trafficking Networks
Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement to shut down trafficking operations and protect victims, especially children. - Fully Fund Border Patrol and Support Personnel
Ensure our agents have the manpower, resources, and training they need to do their job safely and effectively. - Deport Violent Offenders Immediately
Focus immigration enforcement on serious criminals, people who pose a clear threat to public safety. - Improve Physical Infrastructure Where Needed
Strengthen high-risk areas with modern barriers, roadways, and surveillance tailored to the needs of each region. - Fix the Broken Processing System
Streamline asylum and immigration case handling to reduce backlogs, close loopholes, and ensure accountability.
